Doll House living room

I added some new things to the living room... I think it is now complete.

Doll Dance Studio

The Sunflower Bunch is meeting again for another slumber party. Our theme this time is going to be Dance, Dance, Dance. We are going to make a dance studio as our fun craft along with tutus and some other things. This is my sample. I'm not sure if the bars are going to stay on, I may need to wire them. I used 2 paper box lids and cut off the folded edges. I used clear packaging tape to hold them together. I used scrapbook paper, mirrored cardstock, beads, dowels, tulle, and pictures I printed from the web. I got some of my ideas from lab-den on youtube.
I used a glue stick to put on the scrapbook paper.

I stood the doll in front and placed the mirrored cardstock at her arm length.

I used Alene's craft glue to attach the beads....

and then the dowels.

I used pictures I printed from the internet and glued them in place.

I added two shades of tulle to the top by poking small holes and using pipe cleaners.

Standing the wall on my wood floor makes it look more like a studio.

Sunflower Bunch Slumber Party

I started an AG Girls Club and have a slumber party every other month with four sweet girls from church. We have a theme, make homemade pizza, do doll crafts, watch movies, and, of course, play with AG dolls. I created a dollhouse in my basement from an old wardrobe that they enjoy playing with. Here are a few pictures...
Watching movies and eating popcorn

Nursing Covers

Seems like I have been sewing a lot of nursing covers lately. The pattern is from Simplicity and is a very easy and quick project. They make great gifts!

Ballerina

I used the swimsuit I made today for the leotard. The tutu is 6" tulle, 54" long. I sewed a quarter inch casing for the elastic. I used two shades of tulle. The leg warmers are infant socks with the foot section cut off. I used FOE for the headband. I think for the next one I will make the tutu fuller.

Swimsuits

I tried out a free Liberty Jane pattern for these swimsuits. I have never used fold-over elastic and it is so neat! I bought women's swimsuits from the thrift store and cut them up for the spandex. I can make 3 per swimsuit. You can get this free pattern and a lot of other cute ones, free and for purchase at http://www.pixiefaire.com/  You can also watch a tutorial, which is very helpful, at http://www.youtube.com/user/libertyjaneclothing

18" Doll House

I used a wardrobe in my basement to make a doll house. It has been a fun project and is still a work in progress. I have made most of the furniture and found great items at the thrift store, dollar store and Target. The "attic" floor is a little high to reach for younger girls but the older girls can reach it or use a small step stool. The biggest expense was the kitchen set from Our Generation, which I purchased on sale at Target, everything else has been made, purchased at low cost or items that I already had.

Peel & Stick flooring from Home Depot

I used 12x12 scrap paper and attached it with photo tabs

The table & chairs were a set my daughters had when they were little. I made the living room furniture and lamp.
The hanging light is a locker light I found at Hobby Lobby. A friend donated the carpet.
The lights are pop on LED's from Home Depot.
